WesPregame is a sports broadcasting program provided through Instructional Media Services –a student run division of ITS.
WesPregame was created by Michael Yoshida ’13 and Lionel Nyange ’12 when they were roommates the fall of their sophomore year at Wesleyan. Mike was on the Football team and Lionel worked for Instructional Media Services. Lionel’s interest in sports broadcasting met Mike’s dream of seeing sports at Wesleyan highlighted.
We designed WesPregame as a program that would cover all things athletics at Wes; from club sports to varsity, giving our audience an inside look at what makes athletics at Wesleyan unique and great. We wanted to create something that would gather various, perhaps unrelated aspects of Wesleyan together –students interested in an alternative look at athletics, parents who want to see their children play, alumni who can’t get enough of Wes and musicians who need a space to showcase their music. Wesleyan Athletics provides such a unique situation –Division III competition, rigorous academics, liberal arts education, as well as many other unique characteristics—for athletes. When you are at Wesleyan you really are a student-athlete. WesPregame wants to show what it means to be a student-athlete.
